Item Description
9.75x13.5" mailing envelope contains complete Grape-Nuts premium from 1944. Graphic envelope design includes same art that appeared on store signs, while reverse has assembly instructions. Envelope has no mailing label but has a .5" tear at bottom and moderate creasing on end flap, overall Fine. Premium consists of two 9x13" stiff paper punch-out sheets w/parts in bwbl/green, a 9x12" green on tan paper target map w/aerial view of Japanese industrial harbor titled "Harukai". Punch-out pieces are for a model airplane designed w/built-in bomb sight plus nine ship, tank and plane targets. The glass 1" square mirror for bomb sight has popped loose where glued to sheet and is no longer here. Punch-outs are still held by perforations although a few of these perforations are loose. Requires careful handling to prevent loosening more perforations. Most of the small circular pieces meant to be punched out and discarded are missing. VF. The fragile thin paper map has tanned w/age and has a few tiny margin tears but is totally clean and as far as these go, still an Exc. example. Premium is missing the three generic marble "bombs". Rare.
