Item Description
c. 1890s. Includes pair of saucers, each 5.75" dia., pair of cups, each 4" dia. 2-3/8" tall, and 4.5" tall creamer. Both saucers and creamer have maker's mark on underside for Gold Medal St. Louis Owen Minerva. Each piece has several illustrations, includes Brownies playing cricket, Brownie golfers, Brownies running, pair of Brownie soldiers, Brownie smoking cigarette, and Brownies fencing. One cup and one saucer have heavy crazing. VG. Other three pieces are VF. Nicely illustrated throughout. Unsigned though obviously based on Palmer Cox Brownies.
