Item Description
First is 9x12 1/8" “Minnie’s You Hoo ! Mickey Mouse Theme Song” w/six pages w/words and music by Carl Stalling ©1930 published by Villa Moret, Inc. San Francisco. Choice cover art shows happy Mickey playing damaged piano w/Minnie waving from piano top and text at lower left “As Sung By Walt Disney’s World Famous Cartoon Character Mickey Mouse”. Trace of lt. cover dust soil, front and back cover each have 1.75" diagonal tear neatly repaired on inside with archival tape. A few lt. handling creases but overall Near Fine appearance. Carl Stalling would go on to become Disney’s main composer in the 1930s. Next is 9 5/8x12.25" newsprint with four pages printed in England by Laurence Wright ©1930 with nice full figure image of Mickey on front cover w/ song titled “Mickey Mouse” and sub-titled “Official Mickey Mouse Song”. Text at right side “Cartoon Reproduced By Kind Permission Of Ideal Films” and text at lower left “Sound Cartoons By Walter Disney For Ideal Films, Ltd.”. Text at bottom left of front cover “This Edition Must Not Be Exported Outside The British Isles”. Inside lyrics include “Quite The Greatest Talkie King Is Mickey! Mickey! Mouse! Mouse!”. Front cover is lightly but evenly tanned with a few tiny edge tears. Fine appearance. Third sheet music is 9x14" and has never been folded. Titled “Mickey Mouse Theme Song Minnie’s You Hoo To Mickey Mouse Club Members” ©1930 but actually issued c.1932. Wonderful graphics include Mickey waving to Minnie w/ her waving back, Mickey playing mandolin w/ Minnie dancing, and great margin design w/ large text letters “For Boys And Girls” w/ various images of Mickey climbing around on the letters. Lt. aging but Exc. First two examples are very rare.
