Item Description
Includes six sheet music. First three are from same series. Each is 8x11 7/8" w/six pages ©1939 by Irving Berlin, Inc. Titles are”: Jiminy Cricket, Honest John, Monstro The Whale”. Each is bw with orange accent color w/characters shown in center surrounded by scene of Pinocchio village. First two have cover text “A Character Featured In The Forthcoming Walt Disney Motion Picture Pinocchio” and third titled has ink stamp at upper right of front cover “Complimentary” leading us to believe that these three are advance copies as the movie did not come out until February 7, 1940. Next sheet music is 9x12" w/four pages and classic front cover art of Pinocchio and Jiminy for “When You Wish Upon A Star”. Next sheet music is 9.75x12.25" British Edition ©1940 w/Pinocchio dancing with Figaro as Gepetto plays accordion and Jiminy looks on w/villains in background courtyard. Next sheet music is 9x12" ©1940 but appears to be from 1961 w/four pages and music for “I’ve Got No Strings” w/bw art of characters and musical notes. Three song folios are approximately 9x12.25" w/page count ranging from 16 to 32. First is ©1940 titled “Song Hit Folio Containing Walt Disney’s Pinocchio Songs” for Australian market w/cover image of Pinocchio and Jiminy, second folio is ©1945 Bourne Music titled “Souvenir Album Words And Music Of All The Songs In Walt Disney’s Pinocchio” w/large image of Jiminy at right side waving his hat at fairy at upper left as Pinocchio, Gepetto and villains look on, third folio is also ©1945 Bourne Music but appears to be c1960s version w/same art image as sheet music showing Pinocchio and characters on musical notes. Some lt. handling creases here and there and trace of lt. dust soil. First song folio from Australia has ink note at top blank margin and has a few moisture marks around edges throughout with a few tiny edge page tears. Third song folio has a few moisture marks on front and back covers. Overall sheet music has Fine/VF appearance, two song folios are Very Good and one is Fine. A nice group w/some scarce examples. Choice graphics throughout.
