Item Description
All are among the earliest 8-pagers from the 1920s and early 1930s. Sizes range from 3x4 1/8" to 3 1/8x4 3/8". Titles include “Popeye In Paris (or) The Sailor Gets It French Style, Pop-eye In Wotta Man, Tillie The Toiler The Cat’s Away, Tillie The Toiler Rubbing It In, Mutt And Jeff The Answer To A Maiden’s Prayer, Mahatma Gandhi Pillaged, Fighting For Carnera Making Em’ Yell”. Front cover has come off the first Popeye title and is missing 3/8" diagonal piece at lower right corner tip, covers have a few lt. handling creases and trace of lt. dust soil here and there. First Popeye title is Just Good, others are Fine/VF. Historic and scarce.
