Item Description
2x3x3" twisted blob of melted metal. Attached is 1.5" long rolled cent with text "Dreamland Destroyed By Fire/May 27 1911." Pressed image at center shows Dreamland amusement park on fire. Flames can be seen on tower/Hellgate and other attractions. This fire destroyed the amusement park from which it never recovered. The fire started at 1:30 in the morning and was finally contained at 4:00am but left little beyond a pile of smoldering rubble. The lives of many exotic animals were lost along with the livelihood of sixteen hundred workers. This hunk of metal is a relic from the ruins. VF. First we've seen.
