Item Description
Manila envelope is 5.5x7.5" with art image on front of Louis with boxing gloves and 2.25" wide image of “Joe Louis Ring” which includes his face with boxing gloves at sides. Envelope has printed “Peter Allen-Promoter” Chicago Ill. address at upper left. Contains 5x7" photo of Joe in boxing pose with facsimile “Joe Louis” signature at bottom. Envelope also has original insert. The envelope never contained the ring which was sent separately. Envelope has trace of lt. dust soil but is Exc. Photo is NM. Both are rare and the actual examples shown in “Hake’s Price Guide To Character Toys” book. See promo sign for the ring #1206. Rare.
