Item Description
c. 1950s made by Molded Latex Products Inc Paterson N.J. 8.25x13x2.75" deep thin cardboard box is designed to unfold into stage for user to put on puppet show with flaps that unfold on underside with "Howdy Doody Time Peanut Gallery" on left and Flub-A-Dub on right. Right side panel of box has text "Scopedoodle" and left side panel has art image of Howdy Doody clock and "Letter-Getter" mail box with Howdy image on top of flag. Finger puppets have hard rubber heads with painted details and dangle style thin rubber bodies. Includes Howdy Doody, Clarabell, Dilly Dally, and Mr. Bluster. Box has a few splits and small tears with bit of dust soil. Still bright and VG. Puppets are complete but all parts have hardened with craze lines evident on all four heads. They still display Fine. Rare. First we've offered in our 45 years. Interesting concept w/nice design.
