1943 issued by U.S. Government Printing Office. 28.25x40" photo poster shows African American former private Obie Bartlett who left his lost arm at Pearl Harbor "Now At Work Welding In A West Coast Ship Yard". Large text at bottom "Sometimes I Feel My Job Is As Important As The One I Had To Leave". WPB poster No.A-37. Poster has been folded as issued and has a few holes at fold intersections, blank bottom margin edge has a few vertical tears, two of which are 1" and just go into the very bottom edge a bit. Corners have pin holes and blank reverse side has moisture mark in 10x14" area though not visible from front. Scattered lt. handling creases. Image area with mat and frame to VG/Fine appearance. A striking and emotional image for display.
