Item Description
All dates are copyright dates but some of the books are likely later printings. Each is a vintage hard cover. Sizes range from 5.5x7.5" to 5 5/8x8" with page count ranging from 210 to 248. Publishers include Saalfield, Grosset & Dunlap, Donohue, and Whitman. Titles and dates are: “Dick Prescott’s Fourth Year At West Point” 1911, “Dave Darrin’s Second Year At Annapolis” 1911, “The Battleship Boys In Foreign Service” 1911, “Ted Scott Flying Stories/The Search For The Lost Flyers” 1928, “The Girl Aviators And The Phantom Airship” undated, “The Airplane Boys On The Wing” undated, “Stratosphere Jim And His Flying Fortress” 1941, “Sally Scott Of The Waves” 1943, “Norma Kent Of The Wacs” 1943, “Red Randall (two different) At Mid-way/On New Guinea” 1944, “Dick Donnelly Of The Paratroops” 1944, “Kittie Carter Canteen Girl” 1944. Dust jackets have scattered wear with a few pieces gone here and there, most noticeable on spine. Ted Scott dust jacket has 1.5" piece gone from spine. A few books have inscriptions but overall group has Good/VG dust jackets and Fine/VF books. Interesting group including a nice sampling of WWII themed children's literature from the period.
