©1949 Rittgers. Both figures are hand-painted plaster. 7" tall player #7 looks startled holding his opponents head as he looks to his left at 6" tall headless player #11 who is holding ball. The set comes with 9" tall original wooden backboard which has attached wire rim basket and fabric netting. Player #7 has craze line on back of neck and hairline between shoes but defects are only noticeable upon close inspection including a few tiny nicks. Base of backboard has a few hairline scratches and net is a bit tanned with age but set is overall VF. One of the rarest and most desirable Rittger sets.
