Auction #204 - Part II
Item numbers 1447 through 3204 in auction 204
Item Description
8" tall main tower is litho tin. Also included is folded wire assembly which opens to 20" and contains two 4" long tin litho planes with 4" wingspan. 1930s. Toy itself has built-in key and when wound airplanes revolve in an up and down fashion due to angled shaft that holds the wire assembly. Works well and celluloid-like propellers revolve rapidly as planes fly around. Tower has great lithography featuring soldiers manning anti-aircraft guns at air base, planes flying and being hit by aircraft fire, etc. Base has a few light scratches probably as produced, plus a 3" hairline scratch. VF. Cap has a few scratches including .5" one through the "Marx" logo. VF. Planes are Exc. and are seldom found with propellers intact. Overall VF/Exc.
