Item Description
2x5x23" box. Top and bottom panels show two boys playing with guns while side panels have assembly instructions and flint replacement directions. Box has two 2" splits at ends and creases, one missing inside flap at one end and two missing inside flaps at the other. Still displays Fine for this scarcer box. Box contains very nicely designed gun 23" long in tin litho w/wood stock. 1930s. Body of gun has nice simulated detailing including adjustments and bullet chamber w/bullets. On the left side is illustration of two G-Men holding machine guns. The separate piece representing the revolving bullet chamber has additional illustration on back of G-Man w/gun. Text "G-Man Gun" appears w/both of these illustrations while the front grip has additional "G-Man" name on each side. (See gun #2496 with litho variety.) Toy works and has built-in key. Gun produces a loud firing sound. No longer sparks as the flint holder is missing a flint but this can be easily replaced by lifting up the flint cover on barrel. Tin litho body has scattered paint nicks and scratches, lt. oxidation to metal stock grip and windup key. Overall Fine and a difficult gun to find in this complete condition and with the box.
