One of many versions, this is 1938 "Exhibition Set". 13-1/8x20-3/8x1.25" deep box has graphics with magician wearing top hat at left with wand and white rabbit with text "Be A Magician" and image at right of large seated devil with his miniature helpers working on a magic potion in large bowl. Lid is worn around edges with color rubs and creasing, right side panel is missing 6.75" long piece. Just Good. Nice set is complete with instruction book, introductory letter from A.C. Gilbert and unused exhibition poster designed to be filled in by owner. Die-cut insert is complete with metal rings stapled in place, metal tipped wooden wand, playing cards, instruction book, and is only missing one of two "dummy" wood pieces. Contents are unused and VF/Exc. A nicely designed set.
