Item Description
13.75x22" from 1953 based on Lillian Hunt burlesque melodrama. Images include four photos of burlesque dancers "Featuring Gilda The Golden Girl!" Other text includes "See - Burlesk's Sexiest Blond/Komedy With A Kick!" with hearts and stars accents. Top portion of card is blank for theater name. Bright and Exc. Gilda was actually Shirley Jean Rickert a member of the "Our Gang" series in the early 1930s. In later years she worked in more than 100 movies, mostly musicals and became a stripper in burlesque when musicals were not as popular in Hollywood. She traveled all over the U.S. and Canada playing in burlesque theaters and nightclubs. Nicely designed.
