Item Description
Both items are c. 1941 and shown in the movie press book item #0000. 7/8" litho button has image of the Spy Smasher crouching with smoking pistol with text around side "I Am A Spy Smasher". Tiny traces of wear. VF. Card is 2.5x3.75" with space for member's signature in center and text including member is a "Senior Member Of The Spy Smasher Victory Battalion Aiming To Fight Espionage, Battle Sabotage And Defend America" with facsimile signature "Spy Smasher" with additional text "Hero Of Spy Smasher And Whiz Comic". Original owner has neatly filled out his name in proper place in ink with portion of name in Morse code. Upper left corner has .25x1.5" bit of transparent tape, trace of lt. dust soil and aging. Fine. Card is rare and one of the few we've offered in our 45 years. Nice pair.
