Item Description
Copyright 1967 Raybert Productions Hollywood, CA. 9x11.5" folder with textured stiff paper covers has nice art image on front of all four band members with their guitar logo. Contains 3-sheet "Monkees Flash!" press release dated September 18 with comments by jazz critic Leonard Feather. Kit also contains four stiff paper prints, each 8-3/8x11" with images matching individual band member ones on front cover and pair of 8x10" glossy stills showing Mike Nesmith directing horn section in studio and working on score in control room with orchestra in bkg. Folder has lt. age tone and is VF with NM contents. "The Wichita Train Whistle" was the first solo album by Nesmith and was recorded while he was still a member of the Monkees. The album had comprised instrumentals performed by a full orchestra and all but one of the songs were recorded by the Monkees. The session cost fifty thousand dollars and the album peaked at #144 on the Billboard charts.
