Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
1.5" showing bi-wing aircraft over blue water with gray city skyline in bkg. plus light green sky accented by white clouds. This is a distinct rare variety of a rare button which usually has the sky in much more of a blue shade. This is a distinct variety and not the result of any fading. Top of the button displays four flags for France, USA, Great Britain, and Russia. The Bastian back paper used only 1907-1920 has some small soil on about 20%. The cello has a number of very fine and very shallow vertical hairline scratches showing only in reflected light. The only actual mark on the cello is a faint 1/16" gray spot at far upper right. Only example we've seen in this color variety. Comes with Hake's COA.
