Item Description
1-1/8" litho from the 1950s shows him wearing massive Indian headdress which obscures his trademark Mohawk hairstyle which became known as a "Don Eagle" haircut. Eagle (Carl Donald Bell) in the early days of 1950s television competed with the greatest names of the day including Buddy Rogers, Lou These, he was the first person to throw heavyweight boxing champion Primo Carnera off his feet and he fought Antonino Rocca to a 60-minute draw in 1951 at Chicago Stadium. He also had a classic match with famed wrestling show man Gorgeous George. Button has faint hairline .5" vertical scratch at center but showing very little. About a half dozen pinpoint paint specks off extreme rim edge. Scarce and VF. We've seen only two or three over five decades.
