This figure was made by the company famous for their Captain Marvel family statuettes (see previous items #2669-2673). This figure is 5.25" tall made of an unknown blend of resin-like materials. Has flocking on head and trunks. Complete with original separate 2.25" tall club that fits into his curved arm for display. Front of base has incised name "Alley Oop" while back of base has name of comic strip distribution syndicate "Copr. 1946 NEA Service Inc." 100% complete and original with no touch-ups. Tiny chip on nose tip and minute chip on upper lip. Small .5" streak on side of left arm without fleshtone paint but as produced and not visible when viewed straight on. There are some minor surface hairlines on legs, left shoulder and along left side of his back but most only noticeable when viewed closely and in no way affect the piece's integrity, all remains structurally sound. Piece retains a bright, clean appearance. Still displays VF. This is one of the very rarest comic character figures, only 4 are known and only 1 other complete with the club. A rare opportunity to obtain this much sought after figure.
