Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
This exceptionally large button from 1910 was once suspended from a ribbon and does not have a pin back on the reverse. Pictured is "Murat Temple, Indianapolis." The button was apparently worn by fraternal members attending the "Imperial Council" convention in "New Orleans, La. April 12-13, 1910." Pictured in a crescent moon design is "E.J. Jacoby, Potentate." Marks in the sky area at right are due to the hand coloration and not stain marks. A rare button, particularly scarce in this large size. Curl has name of maker "H. E. Smith Co., Indianapolis." Also see amazing shrine 1911 convention item #833.
