Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
6.75" tall. Cello insert reads "Wabasso" on brass bar frame suspending ribbon with separate fabric American flag accent above gold lettering reading in full "Fort Fairfield/State Field Day/Patriarchs/Militant/June 9-10/1914/Portland, Maine." At center is 1.25" real photo without dot pattern celluloid button tabbed in a mint luster brass frame and with the fabric ribbon passing through the reverse of the button which includes a W&H back paper. Through trick photography a real photo of a potato has been placed atop a railroad flatcar so that it appears to be of monstrous size and is surrounded by the text "Mined In Aroostook." Most unusual and NM. Only example we've seen.
