Item Description
4" dia. by nearly .5" thick by W&H. Top of the piece inscribed "Victory Nov. 11, 1918." Top has illustration of troops rushing behind a tank with bi-planes flying overhead. Below this is the slogan "'Beat Your Swords Into Plow Shares.'" Below this is photo of team of horses pulling a plow guided by a farmer in his field. Border has four photos of leaders "Marshal Foch (see item #760), Gen. Diaz, Gen. Haig (see item #889), and at the bottom Gen. Pershing (see items #286-289). Reverse of the piece has extensive advertising for "Bateman Manufacturing Company/Iron Age Farm, Garden And Orchard Implements" plus a list of their USA and Canadian offices. A few trivial hairlines in reflected light. Exc. and displays Mint. An outstanding celluloid paperweight. Rare.
