Item Description
4x4” “Pocket Disc” generic cardboard red sleeve contains small 4” dia. 33 1/3 rpm flexidisc miniature record. This is “Revolution/Hey Jude” on the Apple Records label. Made by Americom Corp and part of a series released between 1967-1969 and competed with Philco who manufactured these types of discs under the name "Hip Pocket Records". Sold in postage stamp style vending machines. Although only three Beatles titles were issued, more than 60 different records were released, including those for The Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix (see item #3165) and others, with 28 different major labels taking part in this short-lived experiment.
