Item Description
This is a rare and highly sought Tom Mix premium. We’ve had high grade condition examples exceed $5,500 and we’ve had an example which lost all of its white gold finish sell for over $1,500. This ring shows wear but overall remains in VG condition. The shield and star with text “Tom Mix Deputy” on the ring top is without most original luster but still has luster highlights. The ring is marked on its underside “14k White Karat Gold.” Right where this writing is, there is a spot of white gold off from the interior surface. On the exterior surfaces, the top 50% of the ring retains about 90% of the white gold finish. Most of the white gold is off the lower prongs from the side mid-point to the end of the prong tip. The ring was issued in 1933 by National Chicle Co. and is advertised on their gum wrappers specifying 75 coupons are needed to obtain the ring. The current Hake Pop Culture guide lists values of Good-$1,500; Fine-$4,000; N. Mint-$7,500. This example well exceeds the Good grade. Rare.
