Item Description
3.5" with his facsimile signature and surrounding text "Say It Loud - I'm Black And I'm Proud." Metal back has small raised crease and cello front has all over but lt. scratching for the most part just showing in reflected light. Only age are a couple of tiny faint dots along bottom right edge. There's also a small bump on his hair caused by the bar pin on reverse. In spite of the condition issues the piece still presents well and is quite scarce. The text on the button comes from his 1968 #10 Top 40 hit song. Button served both as Civil Rights badge and recording promotional. Our example in Auction #190, although in significantly better condition, realized nearly $300. This one has modest opening bid. Morry Greener Collection.
