Item Description
Each of these is a 7/8" litho and each say on the reverse "Read Superman Action Comics Magazine." The first in this group is his first button issued in 1939. On this the lettering of his name "Superman" is one dimensional. The button was redesigned and reissued in 1942 this time with "Superman" in 3-dimensional lettering. The 1939 button is NM with just a few trifle tiny scratches on the reverse lettering and hardly any wear at all on the front. The 1942 button has a number of tiny white scratches on his blue jersey but still displays VF. There is also a little brown tone over the text on the reverse. A pair of early and historic Superman items.
