Item Description
This is the largest and rarest Snow White bisque set from Japan c. 1938. A similar but smaller musician set was also produced (see item #2420). The original box is 9.5x16x2.25" deep, cardboard/wood w/illustrated paper label on the lid. Lid has pair of .25x1.5" side panel strips missing. Additional scattered wear/aging but bottom remains tight and complete w/dividers. Still displays Fine overall. This larger set consists of 6.5" tall Snow White, the Dwarfs are each about 4.25" tall. Snow White stands in pose w/her arms raised to her chest while each Dwarf is depicted playing a different instrument. Few tiny paint rubs as made but set retains clean and fresh appearance displaying as nicely as the day they were produced. Choice NM/Mint condition, as nice as can be found. This, in addition to being the rarest SW set and boxed, make this a truly exceptional item. The last set we offered was back in 2005 without a box and it still realized $1,533.
