Auction #204 - Part II
Item numbers 1447 through 3204 in auction 204
Item Description
Lot of two, the only two Donald figurines produced by Brayton. Painted and glazed ceramic. c. 1940. One is 6" tall w/expressive image of Donald raising his fist while the other is 4" long w/somewhat angry expression on his face, lying and resting his head on one hand (a figurine in similar pose was also produced by American Pottery/Shaw but depicted him resting his head on right rather than left hand as this piece does). Standing figurine has a few small spots where glaze did not adhere but none take away from its appearance and both remain clean and glossy. Exc. From the Michael J. Stern collection.
