Item Description
Promotional pair from 1935 for Seiberling Latex Products Co. First is letter on company letterhead and signed by their Vice President. Addressed to Alexander Drysdale & Son of Bennington, VT. Superb content pumping up the benefits of selling their products and all but guaranteeing success in doing so, stating the store owner could be a "Winner" as opposed to just a "Runner-Up." Specific Disney content includes "Mickey Mouse, An Imaginative Creature Is Only 6 Years Old And Has Captured The Interest Of Almost Every Tribe On This Terrestrial Earth/He Has Won The Recommendation Of The League Of Nations/Art Galleries Turn From Picasso And Epstein To Hold Exhibitions Of His Monkey Shines/He's A Personality Along With Uncle Sam." Also noted is the folder in this lot. Folder is 8.5x11" on glossy paper and opens to 25" in length. Many different Disney figures and boxed gift sets are shown (see items #2381-83) along w/detailed text describing each. This includes Mickey, Pluto, Big Bad Wolf & Three Little Pigs. Also features Mickey & Minnie play balls, and a pair of related store window signs are shown as well as non-Disney toys. Back cover has photo of a Disney store display. Both pieces have lt. aging but are VF and rare. Also included (just comes along) is the front cover only to trade publication "American Druggist" which features full color advertisement on reverse for Seiberling including image of a different store display from the one shown in the folder.
