Item Description
c. 1934 punch-out set inspired by the components of the Blue Ribbon Waddle Book but this was sold as a stand-alone toy, not part of any book. There were also Spanish and German printings of the book, but none for Japan, making this a unique piece. Most text on the various pieces is in Japanese. 8x10.5" envelope contains complete and unused set. Env. includes illustration of the toy set-up on the front, back has illustrated instructions. Obvious wear/aging w/edge splits. Good. There are two cardboard punch-out sheets for figures of Mickey and Pluto. Pieces marked "Patent Syutsugansumi/Nakatani Gangu Seisaku/Sennichimae Osaka." The die-cut cardboard ramp is 16" in length. On end panel that elevates the piece there is an image of Japanese boy trademark character, rather than Mickey who appears on the ramp for the book. This same Japanese boy image appears on the other paper pieces. Otherwise all punch-out parts are the same as those that came w/the waddle book. Also included is packing slip and small sealed env. containing the metal fasteners. Trace of aging but all is NM/Mint overall. A true Disneyana rarity and the first we have seen in our 45 years.
