Item Description
8.5x17" paper cartoon sheet titled in full "A Cheap, Crummy Souvenir Of My Visit To MAD Magazine-The Usual Gang Of Idiot MAD Artists As They See Themselves." 1960s. Picture is a montage of 19 self-portraits, each identified by the individual artist's signature in printed form. Among those pictured are Jack Davis, William Gaines, Mort Drucker, Al Feldstein, Sergio Aragones and more. Each caricature is done by the individual artists. Not folded but tightly curled. Right side has 2" pale gray moisture spot over the lower body of John Putnam and the two artist's easels to his right. Rest of print is very clean except for 1" streak of red ink stain on the very edge of top right margin. The blank reverse has additional scattered dots and streak of red ink on left side over area about 3" wide by 8.5" deep. None of these marks show through. Overall still displays well w/2" stain noticeable but not a major distraction. Fine. Nice for framing.
