Both are c. 1940. Cardboard poster is 17x26.75" with wonderful photo of Parks wearing only hat and gloves for show held February 4 at Empire Theater in Newark. Bottom has names Joe Freed & Burt Carr for same show. Poster has some handling wear with small pieces missing at three corner tips with a few vertical tears at top edge repaired on reverse side with clear tape. VG. Comes with 5-3/8x7-5/8" scrapbook with simulated leather covers bound with cord and includes 22 pages with graphic ads from newspapers glued in place. Ads are for Gayety burlesque theaters in either Baltimore or Washington, DC and includes one which has same photo as poster. Other stars of note include comedian Pinky Lee, the original "Queen Of Quiver" Marion Miller, Connie "2 Ton" Fuller, the "Texas Tornado" Patricia Perry, and one referring to Valerie Parks as the "Blond Bombshell." Covers have lt. handling wear but scrapbook itself is Fine with Exc. contents. A neat collection and a nice go-with poster.
