Item Description
Issues from 1866-1901 are 12x16.75" while the 1919-1921 issues are 10.5x14". The earlier ones have general edge wear and two of fourteen have spine splits. Many illustrations, most with pair of full page illustrations at center. Overall VG. The six later show more cover age with moisture marks on Coolidge 7/24/20, Women Voting 9/11/20 and Inaugural issue 3/5/21. Overall these six are Good with largely intact spines. In the earlier group, issues 3/28/74 through 11/6/86 (five issues) have uncut pages across top and on right edge. 1/6/66 Johnson cover from Brady photo. 3/14/74 Delirium Tremans patient in the "Horror Cell" in the inebriates' ward on Blackwell's Island. 3/28/74 Death of Charles Sumner. 5/23/74 Anarchy in Kansas. 6/27/74 persecuted dog. 10/30/86 NYC Henry George mayorality campaign. Folded on an angle. Includes separate folded (23x33") open poster sized print of night scene of Statue of Liberty depicted 10/28/86. NM. Very striking. 11/6/86 NYC "Liberty Day" procession on Broadway. 10/17/91 shows investigative committee head state senator Fassett "Destroying The Tammany Tiger" (result: no indictments or convictions.) 6/30/92 Cleveland as democratic nominee. 7/28/92 Cleveland/Stevenson ride donkey across "The Same Old Plank." 8/25/92 Cleveland (and Whitney) as sisters to the "Democratic Cinderella" D.B. Hill, New York politician who was a presidential hopeful in 1892. Cover has 2.5" edge tear. 6/11/96 tornado at St. Louis with two photos and two illustration pages of destruction. 6/24/97 Queen Victoria in robes of state. 9/21/01 McKinley memorial issue. Many photos. Top and right page edges are uncut. 11/8/1919 General Wood as president cover article. Small corner off cover. 7/24/20 Coolidge as VP nominee.
