Item Description
4x5.5" printed photo on 5x7" stiff cardboard mount. Her name is in tiny letters over her dress and right bkg. reads "Copyright 1901/Nichols And/Davidson/Topeka Kas." Lower left corner has .25" triangle of surface paper gone. Blank reverse has minor surface paper off vertical edges. A wonderful vintage photo from the days when Kansas saloons hung signs "All Nations Welcome But Carrie" and lived in fear of her "Hatchetations." She paid her court fines from lecture fees and sales of souvenir replicas of her famous hatchet.
