Auction #205 - Part II
Item numbers 1427 through 3167 in auction 205
Item Description
4.5x11.5x8" tall tin litho toy by Masudaya Toys, Japan. 1950s. Toy features nice detailed lithography including speedometer and depicts uniformed police officer with separate badge on hat riding motorcycle which has small "Police" attachment on the front fender. Toy works and travels in a circle as the headlight lights up. After traveling a short distance, it comes to a stop and the policeman is designed to swing his right leg up and over the cycle and dismount. He then gets back on and continues forward. Toy has overall small scattered paint nicks and traces of wear. While the wear is evident, there are no serious defects affecting its appearance and toy is still bright and glossy. Fine.
