Scarcer late 1950s issue. ©King Features Syndicate. 9x11x3" deep thin die-cut cardboard box contains medium size costume #225. Lid is tight and clean. Window has split on right side from top to bottom but is all there. Box bottom has a 2" punch through but otherwise solid. Box is Fine. Thin molded plastic mask has split on bridge of nose and some soiling around mouth but displays Fine. Costume is folded as issued, some light wear/aging but very clean overall. Comes with separate cloth head piece to cover hair. Costume is all black with "The Phantom" logo, bust and costume detailing in reflective orange. VF. Very different design from later issued costumes.
