Item Description
c.1950s. Made in England marked on bottom of each piece. First piece is 3" tall mug with fisherman Popeye having a fish snatched from his creel by a seagull and text "The Catch Of The Season". Next is 6.5" diameter plate with image of Popeye and Swee' Pea having a piggy-back ride with text "I'm Popeye The Sea-Horse". Last piece is 6.5" diameter bowl with Popeye and Wimpy on park bench with text "A Sailor's Yarn". All pieces have gold trim and have fine crazing in glaze. Overall set is Exc.
