c.1939 jewelry and/or trinket box. 5.75x8-5/8x2" deep wood with textured surface lid and spine designed like a book with title on lid and spine. Author Margaret Mitchell's name on front. Outside of bottom is painted gold resembling gold leaf on high quality book page ends. Box bottom has felt covered interior. Gold text on front and spine is a bit worn, inside shows lt. use. Overall Fine. Likely issued in conjunction with first release of famous film. Nicely designed.
