7” long, 3 7/8” tall goat and cart by Kenton Toys. Goat is natural finish cast iron and pulls free-wheeling tin cart. c. 1900. Separate 4” tall cast iron figural Yellow Kid (in red nightshirt) fits into notch provided in cart. In addition to red nightshirt, Kid’s head was painted black, though most of this paint is gone. Underneath is dark color of the casting as made. About 60% of nightshirt paint remains. Cart has moderate paint wear to rims of wheels and inside where Yellow Kid fits into floor of cart. Fine overall.
