Item Description
1940s. Unmarked but by Freundlich. 15" tall composition dolls w/jointed arms and legs, fabric uniforms and socks/stockings, oilcloth shoes. Heads and hats are molded composition as one piece. Her chest has small cardboard stapled shield initialed for Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (later shortened to WAC). Her tag has tiny rust at attachment staple, dust and small corner missing. His says "Praise The Lord And Pass The Ammunition" and has some aging only. Composition elements are in very nice condition w/fresh appearance to face and hair although a few very tiny hairlines on faces. Hands and legs have major stress lines. Her jacket and his shirt have a bit of spotting. Still a most attractive and rare doll pair from the very early years of WWII. Still Fine for display. This company was most famous for their Douglas MacArthur doll.
