Item Description
Folded as issued poster published by Brown & Bigelow in 1944 opens to 19x25". Superb art by Schlaikjer has large image of pilot in bomber jacket holding bomb in clouds with bombers flying beneath. Barely noticeable tiny bit of wear at fold intersections, pin holes in four corners. Bright and VF appearance. Jes Schlaikjer (1897-1982) is recognized as one of the greatest poster artists of WWII. He became the official artist of the U.S. War Department in 1942 and had a studio in the Pentagon. His military leader portraits included Eisenhower and Patton. Wonderful patriotic imagery.
