Item Description
Both booklets are from 1923 "American Historical Review Motion Picture Exposition And Monroe Doctrine Centennial" held in Los Angeles. First is 5.25x8" titled "The Silver Sheet" published by INCE Studios with 16 pages. Back cover reproduces scroll actress Madge Bellamy had signed by President Harding and other dignitaries including John Pershing and state governors. Second booklet is 6x9" "Exposition Memories Official Souvenir Program" with 64 pages. Contents include photos of performers including actress Ruth Roland and trick rider Tom Kiernan. Both have trace of lt. cover dust soil with a few lt. handling creases. Fine/VF. Five slides are each 3.25x4" hand tinted glass transparency for projection in movie houses to announce upcoming films. Titles and dates are: "The Lost Special From The Story By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle" 1932, "Blake Of Scotland Yard" 1937, "Detective Lloyd" 1932, "Trailing The Killer" 1932, "Clyde Beatty Darkest Africa" 1936. Cardboard mounts have lt. aging, slides are Exc. Interesting group.
