Published in 1953. "Ace Double Books" No.D-15 copyright 1953. "Junkie" is William Burroughs' first book, written under the name William Lee. Book is bound back to back with Morris Helbrant's "Narcotic Agent". Junkie cover has man holding pretty girl back from using heroin. Narcotic Agent cover has drug addicted dazed girl being handcuffed. Slight trace of edge wear and a few tiny creases. Still a tight copy with much cover gloss. Near Exc. appearance. "Junkie" was based on Burroughs own experiences with drugs and written as a first person example of the horrors of drug use. A rare and desirable book especially in this condition.
