Item Description
c. early 1950s. Made by Mutual Equipment & Supply Company Chicago, Ill. 7x12x1.75" deep die-cut thin cardboard box has nice lid graphics of Sparkle Plenty coming out of Sunny Dell Acres carrying sign w/her name on it and running towards Christmas tree. Lid has punch out section, when folded, exposes bulbs for display. Comes with 2.5x10" long punch out strip that has four unpunched holes with images of Dick Tracy, Gravel Gertie, B.O. Plenty, and Sparkle Plenty to be cut out and put on tree. Cardboard insert holds full light set. One Sylvania bulb is missing out of seven and five still light. Box has scattered lt. wear with color rubs around edges and split in one corner. Bright and VG. Insert and punch-out strip are VF. Wonderful designs, true to character images.
