Item Description
Both are 1943. Stiff paper Whitman book is 11.25x14" with nice front cover art by noted comic strip and pulp artist Schomburg showing five different planes bombing city at night. Book has a total of six pages printed on one side with five different bombers to punch out. Models include Boeing B-17E, North American B-25, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, Short Stirling, and Douglas A-20A Light Bomber. Covers have lt. wear around edges and punch outs have a few loose perforations. Fine overall. 14-3/8x22.25" government issue illustrated envelope contains unassembled cardboard silhouette models of three planes used during the war for training purposes. Includes A.A.F B17E, Flying Fortress II, BR. Fortress II. Dated 2/22/43. Envelope has a few lt. handling creases, contents are unassembled and NM. Nicely designed pair.
