c. 1960s issued by Warner Bros. 9.5x12.75x2" deep cardboard box has television screen shaped label on top with typewritten text "Colt .45 Promo Kit". Contains stiff paper cover sheet with photo of Wayde Preston as title character Christopher Colt promoting 67 half-hour shows. Comes with 2.5x9" die-cut cardboard slide holder holding three different slides with nice photos based on opening scene of show. Box also contains two boxed film trailers for show, five pages of program facts, and synopsis sheets for all 67 episodes. Also includes biographies of Wayde Preston and Donald May and three sheets for recipient to use for commercial announcements. The only missing item (as listed on enclosed contact sheets) are 11 glossy photographs. Box has lt. dust soil. Still VF. Two trailer boxes have titles written on end in ink otherwise trailers and rest of contents are Exc. The 67 episode series ran on ABC between 1957 and 1960. The basic plot had undercover government agent Christopher Colt traveling as a Wild West colt-pistol salesman while tracking outlaws in the process. Limited distribution, designed to promote syndication sales to regional TV markets. Comprehensive and interesting.
