Item Description
These are 7/8" to 1.25". First and extremely early is "You're Short A Button/Faultless Gum." This is likely c. 1898 and is the first we've seen. Mint. Second is 1.25" with a serial number at center designed to be matched with another person's button with the same number. Text reads "Button - Button Who's Got The Button?" Some tan stains but still a unique design with the word "Button" on a button three times. Next is 7/8", again with serial number, showing archway reading "Brandywine Springs" with caption above "Button Day." This has Bastian backpaper c. 1907. Last are a pair of 1.25" from the mid to late 1960s. These were sold in head shops. The first is "Support Your Local Button Merchant" and "This Button Is Just An Attempt To Communicate." Except as noted all are NM displaying Mint.
