This lot contains two of the three models in this series by MPC issued in 1964 and based on the Hot Curl character created by artists and surfers Mike Dormer and Lee Teacher. Both boxes are 12.5” tall and contain complete and unused parts including instruction sheets. First is “Hot Shot” (Hot Curls Hot Doggin’ Brother) & “Hot Dog” (Hot Curl’s mangy mascot). Parts include skateboards, alternate heads and designed as “Spring-Jointed To Shimmy And Shake.” Second model is “Curl’s Gurl” (Hot Curl’s Surfin’ Soulmate). This model also comes with alternate head, wave base with dolphins and designed to move “Wind Her Up And She Actually Rides The Waves.” Both kits have nearly all parts removed from sprues but both are complete. Moderate scattered box wear, mostly along edges. Boxes Fine with Mint contents. Scarce models.
