13" tall figure produced by Rosko Industries for Sears as a boy's doll. Johnny Hero was basically a sports figure that could be fitted with various team uniforms (sold separately). Johnny Hero was repackaged as Olympic Hero at the end of production to sell overstock. Outfit includes a red long-sleeve jogging suit (the top has "Johnny Hero" and the number "16" printed on the front), matching red pants, white socks and white tennis shoes. Body is made of heavy foam, with plastic head and hands. Right hand has a metal prong to hold sports balls and equipment. Foam body appears to be pliable and has flesh toning (some become brown with age). VF/Exc. Several sports team uniforms were made available, including the NFL and MLB. In additional two bagged/carded outfits are included. First is NY Mets complete outfit. Second is SF 49er's uniform with Browns helmet. Some lt. age spotting on clothing and shoes but both are Exc. as packaged otherwise. Both are on Olympic Hero header cards with bags. A little tape on Mets bag and some handling wear overall on both. Fine/VF. A nice grouping of what Johnny Hero had to offer.
